Adelbert Rerko

WORTHINGTON, Ohio — Adelbert “Al” Rerko, age 67, of Worthington, formerly of Vincennes, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, April 7, 2015.

He was born Jan. 16, 1948 in Cleveland. He recently retired as a professor of broadcasting and the director of broadcast facilities at Vincennes University.

He is survived by his mother, Natalie (Wojcik) Rerko; his wife, Karen (Peiffer) Rerko; two sons, Michael (Lindsay) Rerko ands his wife, Lindsay and Kent (Renee) Rerko and his wife, Renee; three grandsons and a granddaughter on the way.

He was preceded in death by his father, Michael Rerko.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Michael Catholic Church in Worthington with Father Matthew Morris as celebrant. Visitation will be 9:30 a.m. until the hour of services Friday at the church. Private internment will be at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to a charity of choice. Arrangements were entrusted to Schoedinger Worthington Chapel.
