Work on a total of nine downtown facades is expected to get underway next week.
At this morning’s Knox County Development Corporation Meeting, INVin Executive Director Ellen Harper told those in attendance work will begin at Wabash Plumbing and Insight of Wabash early next week.
During the construction process, ARC Construction will use the former Schulteis building downtown as their base of operations.
Earlier this year, Vincennes received a total of $500,000 in grant funds from the Indiana office of Community and Rural Affairs to help pay for the project. The Vincennes Urban Enterprise Association will assist with payment as well.
The original goal was to have work finished by May of 2019. According to Harper, ARC has set their sights on completing the project in April.
