The Knox County Commissioners have made an important decision for potential work at the Pantheon Theatre.
The county is currently pursuing a Historic Preservation Grant that would see exterior work, including an updated facade, done at the downtown Theatre. As part of that process, a request for quotes, or RFQ, on the project was sent out, with replies coming from both the DLZ Corporation and Myszak and Palmer. After reviewing the bids submitted, the County Commissioners unanimously voted to select Myszak and Palmer for the work, although no official contract has been awarded.
The selection came after bids from both companies were put through a scoring process, with Myszak and Palmer ending with a higher score. The work remains dependent on whether or not the county is successful in securing funds from the state.
