Posted on April 12th, 2018

A Bicknell Police officer was arrested Thursday.

Indiana State Police say at approximately 2:30 Thursday afternoon, 47-year-old Lieutenant Kevin Carroll was taken into custody by the FBI Violent Crime Task Force and ISP.

His arrest comes after an investigation that began last month after Carroll had reportedly shared sensitive information with a Daviess County resident. According to State Police, the investigation revealed that Carroll allegedly compromised undercover drug operations and put undercover officers at risk by sharing sensitive material.

Carroll now faces charges of official misconduct, a Level 6 Felony, and criminal recklessness.

Carroll was released from the Knox County Jail after posting a $5,000 bond.

The Indiana State Police were assisted by the Knox County Sheriff’s Department and Martin County Prosecutor’s Office.
