Parsley Has Concerns About Grad Requirements

Posted on January 12th, 2018

Vincennes Schools Superintendent Greg Parsley has concerns about changes for earning a High School degree in Indiana. Speaking on WVUT’s 22-Magazine, Parsley says the new graduation pathways will have some added costs not the least of which is ensuring that high school students stay on track to graduating.

Parsley believes some school districts much smaller than Vincennes will have a difficult time meeting the new gradution requirements which also includes demonstrating “employability skills” through an internship or practical experience.

The new requirements are scheduled to take effect with the freshman class of 2019.
