Commissioners Approve ADA Grievance Prodecure

Posted on December 6th, 2017

The Knox County Commissioners approved an ordinance creating a grievance procedure for violations of the Americans with Disabilities act.

Pam Hazel, the county’s ADA compliance officer says aside from the inclusion of some additional signage, the grievance procedure is the final step needed in bringing the county into compliance with the federal act.

The ordinance itself still requires 2nd and 3rd readings before it can take effect.
