Posted on September 14th, 2017

Vincennes Parks Superintendent Steve Beaman says Rainbow Beach Swimming Pool finished the year in the black.

Although he doesn’t have an exact accounting yet. Beaman says revenue generated by the pool was on par with what they took the year before. .

Overall, Beaman says they had a good year. although they saw attendance drop in July and August.

Beaman also attributed part of the drop-off to the earlier start time for area schools this year. Rainbow Beach is in its second full-year of use after a remodel. Beaman says the pool not only draws people from Knox County but the surrounding area as well. He says they’ve had people come from as far South as Evansville to check out the pool and as far north as Terre Haute.
