Work on the Vincennes Parks and Recreation Department’s Five Year Master Plan is completed. The plan contains goals for the purchase of new equipment and upgrades the parks department hopes to make to its facilities over the next five years. Superintendent Steve Beaman says the plan will be placed on file with the Department of Natural Resources. Beaman says its necessary to have a plan in place in order to apply for grants. He says their goal is to try and tap into the same funding sources used to repair and replace windows at the Vincennes Police Department Headquarters.
The Vincennes Parks Board last night passed a resolution to adopt the five year comprehensive plan. The document must also be adopted by the City Council.
