KCPL Block Party Kicks Off Tonight

Posted on April 21st, 2017

There’s a party at the Knox County Public Library!

Beginning tonight, the Library will be holding a Block Party in the parking lot of the McGrady Brockman House located at Seventh and Hart in Vincennes.

The Block Party will feature food and fun for area kids, and will also serve as a kick-off for the sign up period for the library’s 2017 ‘Build a Better World Summer Reading Program.’ The summer reading program is organized every year by the Library’s Youth Department. Library Director Emily Bunyan says the Summer Reading Program is a good way to keep kids mentally engaged during the summer months.

The party starts tonight at 4:00 p.m. and will run until 7:00 this evening. The festivities will continue tomorrow, April 22nd, from 11:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. The event is free and the public is invited to attend.
