Drug Take Back Day Set for April 29th

Posted on April 18th, 2017

Knox County citizens will once again have a chance to turn in their unwanted prescription drugs during a Drug Take Back Day on Saturday, April 29th from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Knox County Law Enforcement and the Drug Enforcement Administration are coming together to battle pill abuse and theft, by giving area residents the chance to rid their home of potentially dangerous expired, unused and unwanted prescription pills. Those interested in doing so can bring their drugs to the Vincennes Police Department (501 Busseron Street), Bicknell Police Department (119 E. 2nd Street) or Knox County Sheriff’s Department (2375 South Old Decker Rd).

Last year, Americans turned in nearly 900 thousand pounds of unwanted prescription drugs during drug take back days. The service is free and anonymous. No liquids, needles or sharps will be accepted.
